This week 2nd grade ART students went on a virtual field trip to The Art Institute of Chicago using Google Earth and Google Art Project!
Second graders are learning about American ARTist Georgia O’Keeffe and discussed her painting Cow Skull and Calico Roses (Picture below).
After making observations in their Passports about O’Keeffe’s work, students had the chance to look around inside of The Art Institute of Chicago! After receiving a stamp for their completed trip each student began a sketch inspired by O’Keeffe using silk flowers and picture of bones for inspiration!
