Join us for the 4th Annual Round Rock Empty Bowls Festival which features handmade bowls created by local artists and Round Rock Independent School District students and staff who donate their creations to aid in ending hunger. A simple meal is served to our community in order to raise awareness of those children, youth and adults who go hungry daily. Guests choose a one-of-a-kind bowl to take as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the bowl, (with soup, bread and a drink) guests contribute a suggested minimum donation. Entrance to the Festival is free to the public. A fun run precedes the Festival. Fun Run: Adults $5 or five canned food items / Children $1 or one can of food. 100% of Fun Run and Festival proceeds are given to a local hunger-fighting organization. The 2014 Festival benefits the Round Rock Area Serving Center.
Come join us for food, artistic bowls, demonstrations, and performances by Round Rock ISD student musicians and local dance groups.
